About the Leader
Stephen Filler, Esq., is the founding member of the Law Offices of Stephen Filler. His
practice focuses on the legal issues concerning the information, media
and technology industries, such as copyright, trademark, intellectual
property, electronic commerce, Internet law, and general business law.
He is regularly involved in litigation, licensing, and contract
negotiation, and counsels clients on the traditional legal issues
confronting start-ups and medium-sized businesses. He represents a wide
array of corporations and individuals including media companies, web
site and software developers, stock photography agencies and companies
engaged in commerce on and off the Internet.
Mr. Filler received his J.D. cum laude in 1986 from Boston University School of Law, where he was honored as Paul J. Liacos Distinguished
Scholar. He is Chairman of the Intellectual Property Law Committee of
the Entertainment, Media, Intellectual Property and Sports Law Section
of the New York County Lawyer's Association and a member of the New York
New Media Association. His article, "Online Business Development
